SATURDAY 14TH JULY 2018 MORNING
Philippians 4:14-20 New International Version (NIV)
14 Yet it was good of you to share in my troubles. 15 Moreover, as you Philippians know, in the early days of your acquaintance with the gospel, when I set out from Macedonia, not one church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving, except you only; 16 for even when I was in Thessalonica, you sent me aid more than once when I was in need.17 Not that I desire your gifts; what I desire is that more be credited to your account. 18 I have received full payment and have more than enough. I am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent. They are a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God. 19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
20 To our God and Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
At the end of his letter the Apostle Paul praises the Philippian Christians for their concern and financial support for him. He says their gifts to him are pleasing to God.
God is happy when you give generous offerings to support your church and to help those who are in need.

FILIPI 4:14-20
14 Lakini mlifanya vema, mliposhiriki nami katika dhiki yangu.
15 Nanyi pia, ninyi wenyewe mnajua, enyi Wafilipi, ya kuwa katika mwanzo wa Injili, nilipotoka Makedonia, hakuna kanisa lingine lililoshirikiana nami katika habari hii ya kutoa na kupokea, ila ninyi peke yenu.
16 Kwa kuwa hata huko Thesalonike mliniletea msaada kwa mahitaji yangu, wala si mara moja.
17 Si kwamba nakitamani kile kipawa, bali nayatamani mazao yanayozidi kuwa mengi, katika hesabu yenu.
18 Lakini ninavyo vitu vyote na kuzidi, tena nimejaa tele; nimepokea kwa mkono wa Epafrodito vitu vile vilivyotoka kwenu, harufu ya manukato, sadaka yenye kibali, impendezayo Mungu.
19 Na Mungu wangu atawajazeni kila mnachokihitaji kwa kadiri ya utajiri wake, katika utukufu, ndani ya Kristo Yesu.
20 Sasa atukuzwe Mungu, Baba yetu, milele na milele. Amina.
Mwishoni mwa waraka huu Mtume Paulo anapongeza na kusukuru Wakristo kule Filipi kwa jinsi ambavyo walimtia moyo na kumfadili kifedha.
Anasema kwamba zawdi zao zilimfurahisha Mungu.
Tuwe wakarimu na sadaka zetu na msaada kwa wahitaji. Mungu atafurahi.
