THEME: LET US THANK GOD

Psalm 68:28-35, Luke 17:11-19, Psalm 109:26-31;  New International Version (NIV)

Psalm 68:28-35

28 Summon your power, God[a];
    show us your strength, our God, as you have done before.
29 Because of your temple at Jerusalem
    kings will bring you gifts.
30 Rebuke the beast among the reeds,
    the herd of bulls among the calves of the nations.
Humbled, may the beast bring bars of silver.

    Scatter the nations who delight in war.
31 Envoys will come from Egypt;
    Cush[b] will submit herself to God.

32 Sing to God, you kingdoms of the earth,
    sing praise to the Lord,
33 to him who rides across the highest heavens, the ancient heavens,
    who thunders with mighty voice.
34 Proclaim the power of God,
    whose majesty is over Israel,
    whose power is in the heavens.
35 You, God, are awesome in your sanctuary;
    the God of Israel gives power and strength to his people.

Praise be to God!

Jesus Heals Ten Men With Leprosy

11 Now on his way to Jerusalem, Jesus traveled along the border between Samaria and Galilee. 12 As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy[a] met him. They stood at a distance 13 and called out in a loud voice, “Jesus, Master, have pity on us!”

14 When he saw them, he said, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed.

15 One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. 16 He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him—and he was a Samaritan.

17 Jesus asked, “Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine?18 Has no one returned to give praise to God except this foreigner?”19 Then he said to him, “Rise and go; your faith has made you well.”

Psalm 109:26-31New International Version (NIV)

26 Help me, Lord my God;
    save me according to your unfailing love.
27 Let them know that it is your hand,
    that you, Lord, have done it.
28 While they curse, may you bless;
    may those who attack me be put to shame,
    but may your servant rejoice.
29 May my accusers be clothed with disgrace
    and wrapped in shame as in a cloak.

30 With my mouth I will greatly extol the Lord;
    in the great throng of worshipers I will praise him.
31 For he stands at the right hand of the needy,
    to save their lives from those who would condemn them.

By the Grace of God we have come to the end of another year.  Think back over the year and all that happened to you personally, in your family, nation and internationally. Despite some problems and difficulties which you might have faced there is still much to thank God for. The Psalmist has experienced oppression from his enemies. He calls out to God for help. But then in verse 30 he starts to praise God.  God deserves our praise and thanksgiving. We will also be blessed  and encouraged in our faith when we give thanks to God.

JUMAMOSI TAREHE 31 DISEMBA SIKU  YA MWISHO WA MWAKA

Zaburi 68:28-35, Luka 17:11-19, Zaburi 109:26-31

Zaburi 68:28-35

28 Ee Mungu, uziamuru nguvu zako; Ee Mungu, uwe hodari uliyetufanyia makuu.

13 wakapaza sauti wakisema, Ee Yesu, Bwana mkubwa, uturehemu!
14 Alipowaona aliwaambia, Enendeni, mkajionyeshe kwa makuhani. Ikawa walipokuwa wakienda walitakasika.
15 Na mmoja wao alipoona kwamba amepona, alirudi, huku akimtukuza Mungu kwa sauti kuu;
16 akaanguka kifudifudi miguuni pake, akamshukuru; naye alikuwa Msamaria.
17 Yesu akajibu, akanena, Hawakutakaswa wote kumi? Wale kenda wa wapi?
18 Je! Hawakuonekana waliorudi kumpa Mungu utukufu ila mgeni huyu?
19 Akamwambia, Inuka, enenda zako, imani yako imekuokoa.

Zaburi 109:26-31

28 Wao walaani, bali Wewe utabariki, Wameondoka wao wakaaibishwa, Bali mtumishi wako atafurahi.
