FRIDAY 19TH JANUARY 2018 MORNING
1 Kings 17:17-24 New International Version (NIV)
17 Some time later the son of the woman who owned the house became ill. He grew worse and worse, and finally stopped breathing. 18 She said to Elijah, “What do you have against me, man of God? Did you come to remind me of my sin and kill my son?”
19 “Give me your son,” Elijah replied. He took him from her arms, carried him to the upper room where he was staying, and laid him on his bed.20 Then he cried out to the Lord, “Lord my God, have you brought tragedy even on this widow I am staying with, by causing her son to die?” 21 Then he stretched himself out on the boy three times and cried out to the Lord, “Lord my God, let this boy’s life return to him!”
22 The Lord heard Elijah’s cry, and the boy’s life returned to him, and he lived. 23 Elijah picked up the child and carried him down from the room into the house. He gave him to his mother and said, “Look, your son is alive!”
24 Then the woman said to Elijah, “Now I know that you are a man of God and that the word of the Lord from your mouth is the truth.”
God used His servant the Prophet Elijah to work a miracle and raise the boy to life again. This miracle brought joy to his Mother’s heart and showed God’s power.
God is still concerned with our daily lives. He can intervene and bring blessings to us. Let us come to God frequently in prayer and ask for His help and guidance.

1 WAFALME 17:17-24
17 Ikawa, baada ya hayo, mwana wake yule mwanamke, bibi wa nyumba ile, akaugua; ugonjwa wake ukazidi hata akawa hana pumzi tena.
18 Akamwambia Eliya, Nina nini nawe, Ee mtu wa Mungu? Je! Umenijia ili dhambi yangu ikumbukwe, ukamwue mwanangu?
19 Akamwambia, Nipe mwanao. Akamtoa katika kifua chake, akamchukua juu chumbani mle alimokaa mwenyewe, akamlaza kitandani pake.
20 Akamwomba Bwana, akanena, Ee Bwana, Mungu wangu, je! Umemtenda mabaya mjane huyu ninayekaa kwake hata kumfisha mwanawe.
21 Akajinyosha juu ya mtoto mara tatu, akamwomba Bwana, akanena, Ee Bwana, Mungu wangu, nakusihi, roho ya mtoto huyu imrudie ndani yake tena.
22 Bwana akaisikia sauti ya Eliya; na roho ya mtoto ikamrudia, akafufuka.
23 Eliya akamtwaa mtoto, akamchukua toka orofani mpaka chini ya nyumba ile, akampa mama yake. Eliya akanena, Tazama, mwanao yu hai.
24 Mwanamke akamwambia Eliya, Sasa najua ya kuwa wewe ndiwe mtu wa Mungu, na ya kuwa neno la Bwana kinywani mwako ni kweli.
Mungu alitumia mtumishi wake Nabii Eliya kutenda miugiza ya kufufua kijana. Tendo hili ilileta utukufu kwa Mungu na furaha kwa mama wa kijana.
Mungu anahusika na maisha yetu. Mungu anawezakutenda miujiza hata leo. Tumkabidi maisha yetu na tuombe uongozi na ulinzi na msaada wake kila siku.
